Root Canal Treatment

Root canal treatments are common dental procedures to relieve pain and save your teeth.

Typically, there is an inflammation or infection of the pulp, located in the center of your tooth, as a result of trauma, injury, decay, cracking or chipping. Visible injury of the tooth and swelling of the surrounding tissue, sensitivity to temperature or pain in the tooth and gums are common symptoms.

During a root canal treatment, Dr. Pla or Dr. Watts, specialists in endodontics, remove the infected pulp inside the tooth, clean and shape the root canal, and seal the area with a filling. Then she or he will consult with you on the follow-up steps for full restoration and maintenance with your dentist.
